1. 11/12, Damn! Missed Igor Stravinsky. This one was tough at first but got easier due to process of elimination.

   • You could write about The Rite of Spring – it’s got a pretty fun backstory.

     • Heh! I know about the riots. But I leave the classical stuff to Musicophile over in Switzerland. I like classical music but I am WAY over in my head in writing about it.

     • PS. It’s that Sporcle site where I always get the lingerie ads.

       • I’ve been getting underwear ads this week too – my wife bought some online and big brother knows that.

         • Well, I’m not complaining.

   • Great effort – you were in the early lead there for a bit.

   • Perfect score – typically great effort.

     • I’ve been a bit rusty this year, gotta shake off the festive hangover

       • I have more of a festive belly fat residue.

   Didn’t know RG was from…where he is from… Some of the names I didn’t know but could tell by their names.

   • Good effort! I still don’t really know Rory Gallagher’s music but I know where he’s from.

     • Thanks…Yea I don’t know his songs…I do admire his playing…the songs that I have listened to…I have guitar friends who are infatuated with his playing.

5. Flags of the world are not my specialty so I’m quite pleased with my 11/12 score. Thanks for always keeping us on our toes.

   • My kids have a jigsaw about them which is helping my knowledge. Good score!

6. 11/12. I was just as uncoordinated apparently but went to zen place and finished strong.

   • Zen is better than rage quitting.

   There are the obvious selections but for the unfamiliar ones, I just assume the country with the last names.

   A couple of the above commenters beat me on time however, although in mitigation my WIFi connection cut out for roughly 30 secs into the quiz, and meant I couldn’t click on anything for a while. Still, chuffed if I made the top 3 of something for a change lol
   PS Just wondering, do you have to be logged in/signed up to that site for your score to register?

   • I’m registered because it helps me keep track of what quizzes I’ve played and used before, plus you get can earn badges. But I think your scores count toward the overall quiz stats even if you’re not registered. Good work!

10. I have no clue…When it was a very ethnic name, it was easier, but I screwed up on too many…no score to report as it was less than 50%.

12. 10 of 12 with 1:50 left. Can’t say its was my favorite quiz of the ones you posted. only 12 choices and most you could guess if needed. That name sounds like this country just click on the flag. Of course you have to know the flag which most I got.

13. BTW, I’m seeing The Beths in April! They are touring US and they are coming through DC area in April. Psyched!

    • Cool! I toyed with the idea of going to a festival to see them last year, but didn’t. I am seeing The New Pornographers in a few weeks though.

      • That’s great! I love that band. Hopefully Neko Case touring with them? She always adds an extra dimension to the vocals live. There was a time years ago when it was kind of hit or miss whether she would be part of a show when she was also doing her solo stuff.

        • Yeah, I think Case will be there. Would be an extra attraction for sure.
