I scored 34/50, the same as the Sporcle average. I spent most of my 2000s stuck in indie, so it’s probably not too surprising.

Well, in a word, horrible. 20/50. I never heard of most of that stuff or those artists. I kept guessing and guessing but it never got any better. Boo-hoo! 🙁
The scores have been a bit all over the place, but you’re not the lowest so far.
Not my favorite decade for music by far. What happened to all the hippie blues bands? 🤣
They’re all keeping it real, playing to small faithful crowds in muddy pastures?

I got 96% or 48/50. I’m surprised I remembered a lot of these. Then again, I’m a millennial so this was my childhood. I don’t think I’d do well on the 2010s quiz because I’m in my little classic rock bubble. I haven’t listened to the radio in a very long time.

I did about as “well” as expected, joining Jim in the 20/50 club. I actually knew 19 of them and then I took a whole bunch of (obviously wrong) guesses. If there was music to accompany the song titles I think I would have gotten at least another 10-15 of them, since I know what many of the artists sound like. Oh well. We’ll let the kids have this one.
We’ll see if the kids are “all right”.
26/50. Lots of songs I didn’t know but as I’ve said before I’d probably recognize many if I heard them
Good effort. I tried an aural quiz once, but didn’t get a great response – it’s a bit trickier as you need to be in a place where you can listen to music and concentrate.
36/50. I was on a roll with the lucky guesses but then it all fell apart with over confidence. Perhaps my head was stuck in indie too this decade?

I’m ashamed to list it but here it goes. The 90s is about where my knowledge ends… I grew up in the 80s but I know the 60’s and 70s best. These are fun regardless because I always learn something.

Genuinely shocked; I managed 49/50. I had the misfortune of having to listen to a lot of commercial radio at work during a lot of these years and managed some very lucky guesses
I think that will stand you in good stead for the competition. While I was at University in the early 2000s I worked in a supermarket, and we’d have the same sequence of music piped through in a 4 hour rotation. I’d prefer the commercial radio.

We’ll go to your comfort zone of the 1970s next week. Probably won’t be any Klaus Schulze or Bert Jansch though, so your specialist knowledge will be wasted.

Anyhoo, I scored 35 this week. That’s decent, I reckon. Loads I had never heard of right away and I was a bit discouraged when my guesses weren’t hitting the mark.
Good effort – joining me in the middle of the pack this week.
43/50. The hip hop artist killed me on this one. Not my favorite genre.
Great score though – will be interesting to see the leader-board after this round.
Cue the howling dogs – 18-50 – I obviously was also not listening to pop radios in the aughts. And its not like I made stupid mistakes – the ones I missed I had no idea. Oh well – perhaps 80s next week?
