Can you name all the year-end hot 25 singles of 1980?

I certainly couldn’t – I struggled with the bottom third of the list, and ended up with 17/25. In my defense, I was only 1 at the time.

Congratulations to EclecticMusicLover, who’s continuing to rack up consecutive wins.

It’s already 2026 in New Zealand – I hope you have a safe and prosperous 2026.

I never realised this song features a New Zealander – I also thought the lyrics were “I got a love button”.

    1. It’s funny – while the ’60s and ’70s are my favorite decades in music and I nowadays have mixed feelings about the ’80s, the latter still is the decade, in which I grew up. And part of growing up was listening to plenty of then-contemporary music. As such, I knew most of the songs!

I still didn’t manage to finish the game, in part because the game ‘misbehaved,’ i.e., kept freezing on me. That’s largely because of my aging laptop. I’ve been putting off getting another one. I think in 2026 it will be inevitable to take this step.

Happy and Healthy New Year to you! 🙂

      • Happy new year, I have a newish laptop so sporcle works ok for me, but it can be an ad-infested nightmare.
