1. As soon as I saw 90’s I knew I was doomed. My 9/16 score perfectly reflects that I know roughly half the 90s reasonably well. The other half – not so much.

2. BTW, I hadn’t seen the packaging guy. I wondered how those decisions were made. And by and large, you’d probably have to go to a specialty store in NYC to get vegemite. Also, someone did once smile and give me a vegemite sandwich.

   • It’s pretty funny, because packaging is so arbitrary.

     • I gotta imagine some of it has to do with the way the thing needs to be kept fresh or best way to ship or something. For instance, jelly in a bag would be suboptimal

3. I’m not the best at lyrics quizzes, and the ’90s isn’t in my musical wheelhouse (at least for popular music), but somehow I ended up with 13/16 after a couple of good guesses. So overall not too bad this week.

   • I’m usually pretty good with lyrics but the ’90s is when I started getting a lot less interested in the then-current crop of rock, so for me, hit or miss.

   • I think my lack of interest in the 1990s status quo (eg Nirvana, RHCP, Alice in Chains) basically led me to start this site. Much more interested in things like Jellyfish and Freedy Johnston.

4. 8/16…the perfection streak comes to an end…easy come easy go.
   I liked the comedian much better!

   • I feel like there are two generations of quiz contestants, and the younger ones should probably do better at this one.

     • Yes…the thing is…this is MY age group…the 80s and 90s I should know…but I’m a generation behind.

5. 5 right (and 2 of those guessed!) and ran out of time. No haven’t heard of that series.

   • Sounds like you did well with your guessing at least!

7. 13 of 16 with some lucky guesses; not bad given that 90s not my thing (although maybe more than I think).
   never heard of the package guy but hilarious! Esp like the triangle top for milk (so true!; and the one that goldfish crackers comes in is impossible!) and the hard plastic case for scissors – always so annoying trying to open those!

8. 10/16 – there are a few artists that I didn’t really bother with.
   I recognised the comedian as he was a children’s show host here in Australia called Giggle and Hoot.

9. I got to 5 then things fell apart. I know all the songs, just not well enough for a 5 word clue. Plus time became an issue.

   • Hopefully next week is better.

10. Did somebody say 90s? 16/16 with 2:46 left on the clock thanks to process of elimination, listening to Throwing Copper just last night and having had enough coffee to raise the dead this morning

    • Did you record your microseconds? Looks like we have a tie!

      • Do Jim and I go to a sudden death round?

        • It was looking like it! But Aaron just beat both of you.

11. Only 12/16 this week. I got the first ten pretty easily but then it was wild guessing from there… and obviously, luck wasn’t with me.

    • I had to guess a couple at the end.

12. 16/16 with 2:46 remaining. Safe to say I’m still very much steeped in the sounds of the (alternative) 90’s.

    • You and Tony were tied for first overnight, but Aaron just came in with the big play.

13. 16/16 with 2:56 remaining. I left three til the end just to be sure.

    • You broke the tie between Jim and Tony.
