Can you guess a band when given a literal depiction of their band names?

I was doing well for 17, but missed the last one. Only 20% of contestants got #18 right – it was the toughest image paired with the most obscure band.
Congratulations to Max, who scored the only 30/30 in last week’s tough 1973 quiz.
I’m going on a Nilsson deep dive at the moment:

17/18 no clue on that last one. i tried every combination but used barbies, not dolls
Maybe its random order and you had a different last one than me – my last one was a 1960s band.
I can’t remember what order # it was as I was rotating back through, but it was a kitten and some barbie dolls.
That one took me a second, too
p.s. I love me some Nilsson! Never met a song of his I didn’t like.
I remember you featuring Moonbeam Song recently, probably one of the things that got me thinking about him.
🙂 <3 He's one of the most human-hearted songwriters of all time. When I read about how he was partying hard with John Lennon, it made me wonder about the seeming contradiction between his creative output and his dangerous substance abuse 🙁
I’ve been doing a deep dive, and there’s some pretty wacky stuff later on – maybe as the drugs kicked in. The Flying Saucer Song (with Joe Cocker) is a good example.
I couldn’t find the one with Joe Cocker, unless it’s the one where it sounds like they are in a bar and a very irritating bartender keeps trying to get them to buy drinks? I see The Band had something to do with that one.
Looking forward to reading/listening to what you come up with, Graham.
17/18, as I couldn’t for the life of me identify the correct family, though once I saw the answer I had a ‘duh’ moment.
Quail family? Great score!
A dismal 7/18. And I was using a brand-new laptop, so cannot blame a crappy computer. Other than being super-tired after a long workday, I have no excuse!
At least you have a brand new laptop. Better luck next week!
Ha ha, that’s true. My new laptop is lightning fast compared to the old one – which isn’t a high bar since the old machine had been painfully slow before it died altogether. Now I guess my brain has to catch up on speed as well!😆
Not this week! Score
14/18 … I can’t believe I missed the L Sp….
That’s the one I missed too. Seems like the most obscure band with the trickiest clues.
Yes…I was thinking something with heart and sugar.
Diabetes love?
17/18 – I missed Lovin’ Spoonful, too!
Yes, I think that was the tough one.
This one was a whole lotta fun – 18/18 with 2:58 on the timer
Perfect score!
11/18…. tricky one haha….but fun!
Thanks for playing – it was a nice creative quiz.
12/18
Good job, thanks for playing.
16/18 – missed out on Pussycat Dolls and Lovin Spoonful. Fun quiz
Great job – I think those are the ones most people missed.
