1. I knew going in this one was gonna suck. 12/24. Boo-hoo. 🙁

     • Hmm, maybe so. I tried it and it was fun. However, it was – for whatever reason – another sudden death. Get one wrong and it dumps you out.

       • Yeah. I pegged out at 8. Who has heard of ‘Diamond Head’ other than the Phil Manzanera album? (And it took me six goes to get that. When it went on to born-again fricking Christian metal players I departed, sighing).

         • It was an interesting quiz – you’d need to be a bit of a music geek to do well, but it wasn’t necessarily music geek territory.

         • Saved from public humiliation and an almost certain drubbing by Tony.

4. 23/24. Messed up the last two but was on a torrid pace.

   • I like the phrase “a torrid place”. You’re in the lead so far.

5. Ooh, so close, but only 23/24 this time. I should have worn my reading glasses as they would have helped me to a perfect score.

   • You can zoom the screen in too – sometimes helps. No 100%s so far, so you’re in with a shot.

   My memory was better than I thought.

   • I didn’t know a lot of the album covers but figured them out from genre conventions.

     • To my amazement I remembered many of them…by just memory. I did guess a few…thank goodness it wasn’t sudden death.

7. Greeting from Germany! 18 of 24 which I am satisfied with given that we have established that the 90s weren’t my era musically. It helps when the artist puts themselves on the album cover! 😀

   • Pretty sure that’s the highest score we’ve ever had from Germany…

   20 (Which was above expectations)

   • 1990 seemed like a fair mid-point for the young fry and the more senior contestants, but maybe I should have gone earlier.

9. Right in my wheel house – the fact that I have that Goo artwork in multiple places is no bad thing either: 24/24 with 6:56 on the clock

   • You were way faster than me – there were a bunch I didn’t know, so I had to think through what genre they were and what was the best fit.

10. 24/24 with 5:49 left on the clock. A lot of these were early 90’s when I worked at a record store so this was easy for me.

    • Wow – On the podium with a great effort.

11. 24 – yay ’90s! But with 5:26 to go, so it looks like I’m currently in the bronze medal position
