Congratulations to Rich Kamerman, who schooled the rest of us on famous drummers. Although Deke also scored a credible 27 out of 30.
This week, your challenge is to identify an act by three songs that failed to make the US top 40. Lots of great songs missed out.

I scored 36/37. I was lucky – I was down to educated guessing for the last 5 or 6.
Can you beat my score for the perfect 37 out of 37?
This new Waxahatchee song is a very early candidate for my favourite song of the year. MJ Lenderman’s creaky backing vocals are a great touch. Spencer Tweedy is on drums.

My drumming background was no help for me this week. Only 32/37. I got 31 in a row with no problem and then…a bunch of bad guesses. Interesting how so many of those songs never cracked the Top 40.
Sounds similar to me, except I got lucky guessing at the end. Seemed like some surefire hits missed out to me.
13/37
Good work, it was a tricky one.
I was way out of my depth this time.
p.s. good song cool video
Video was pretty funny. MJ Lenderman, who sings backup and plays guitar, has a song titled ‘You Have Bought Yourself A Boat’
SCORE
34/37 The Alabama song threw me…about the only one I knew and it wasn’t them.
Good score though!
You got perfect on that?! Amazing! I only got 27/37.
I missed one! And I had a few lucky guesses at the end.
Yikes. 27/37
I think a few people got that score….
That was hard. 27/37 and time expired. I had actually only missed two up to that point, the rest came form what was left.
27 was a popular score.
A pathetic 26/37
It was a tough one for sure.
37/37!!!! 1:54 left. That was easy as fuck. Do you think I’m gonna be the winner??
I think your odds are good.
Wow, that did not go well for me! I obviously have a lot to learn about music in the 80s.
Popular music is vast, the more you learn the more you realize there is to learn. I guess most things are like that.
27 – which, in last week’s quiz /30, would have been nothing at which to sneeze.
Though reading the comments this week, looks like I’m in excellent company with 27/37!
It is certainly the mode score for this week.
