Last week’s quiz on finishing the band name proved quite easy, with lots of 95% and 100% scores. Congratulations to Jim, who finished one second ahead of J to take the title.
This week’s quiz is a tougher proposition. You need to sort artists by which decade they released their debut album, using the pattern 90s, 00s, 90s, 80s.
It’s not sudden death, but if you make a mistake you need to remember to keep following the pattern. So if you get a 1980s guess wrong, you need to move on to the 1990s, rather than keep trying to fill the 1980s slot.If you want to practice the concept first, you can try with this metal, country, pop, country quiz.

Yikes, that was confusing after I missed one, eventually settling for 31/36. I suppose that’s a decent score but I probably should have done better.
You’re well in the lead so far…. I think a few were pretty tough. I’d expect someone to score above 31, but no perfect scores.
I got the concept but I still sucked. 20/36. I will defer to others this week, try to regroup and maintain my dignity.
Big range of scores this week, better luck next week (although I might take next week off, as it will be Christmas day on my usual quiz publish time).

I got confused a couple of time too. You seem to be in the top bracket of scorers anyway.

The primer quiz was helpful to understand the concept but still stunk it up at 17/36..90’s and 00’s not my strong suites didn’t help.
Yeah, I thought the 1980s ones were generally easier – most of the 1980s ones started well before the turn of the decade, apart from a couple of tricky ones like Nirvana.
Yes Nirvana tripped me up since I of course thought of Nevermind forgetting Bleach
I quite enjoyed the Metal Country Pop Country one for what its worth. 🙂
Some of these confused me…their popularity sometimes didn’t match their debut. I do not like Brooks but I was a decade off… more than him also…this one was challenging. I actually got Nirvana because I remember Bleach

Brooks is weird as he was phenomenally successful in the states, but not that big anywhere else.
I can’t tell you how much I disliked him in the 90s. He can be very cringe-worthy. He combined country/southern rock and pop and presented it with a show that country artists were not known for…I can’t deny that he wasn’t very successful though.
I used to write all mainstream Nashville type country off, but I have been spinning some Miranda Lambert recently.
It’s more artists out there now that I like…like Kacey Musgraves.
Yeah, I found that 90’s / 00’s cut off tricky. Still, it was one I never heard of that got me. Anyhoo, leaving any I wasn’t confident of till the end I managed to score 34. I’ll take that.

Apparently he’s an American rapper, actor, businessman, record producer, philanthropist, and former basketball player. Pretty impressive to have an NBA contract and a pair of number one US albums, but I guess he wasn’t as big in NZ or the UK?
