I think boppinsblog won last week’s challenge, although it’s hard to compare it with kingclover’s “pretty fast”. This week you need to identify an album by its first three songs.

It’s an eclectic bunch, from John Denver to The Backstreet Boys. I scored 19/20 – can you beat me for the perfect score?

16/20. The last few were a series of poor guesses. Frank Sinatra?
Are you weirded-out by Sinatra’s inclusion? I couldn’t quite figure out how you felt?
Weirded out? Not at all. Surprised? Yes. I don’t recall Sinatra or anyone representing his genre being on any of these quizzes.
19/20 with 1:21 left.
Great work!
19/20 with 4:13 left, swing and a miss with Ms Joplin
Great work too!
SCORE
19/20
TIMER
00:23 Pure guessing at the end…I think I knew one that was on your site before…the only reason I knew.
Great work – enjoy your break.
When I first glanced at the albums I thought I was going to do a lot worse than I actually did, and I ended up with 17 out of 20. Whenever I see a bunch of stuff like Lana del Rey and Carly Jespen it usually means I’m gonna do very shittily. I got Incubus wrong even though I have that album.
17 is pretty good.
I got a new tablet today and for some reason it didn’t display my username here but my real name!!! Now people are going to start stalking me again!!! Ha. One time I had an online stalker who found out my address somehow and started sending me things in the mail, like sex toys!! That’s why I try never to use my real name anymore.
I can probably fix it if you want, but it would be one-by-one.
I had a real life stalker once. My mum yelled at him on the phone, and he stopped.
14/20…I was guessing by the end. lol…still fun though
Good work!
I answered the 12 I knew and then didn’t bother carrying on. You can guess which the twelve were, I’m sure.
Hey King Clover – what’s with the full, formal nomenclature?
Oh, I see your explanation now, King Clover.
My real name is actually Punkert Pantheruccio, but I never use it online.
Actually, your real name is really glamorous, sort of like you should the bass player in Bon Jovi or something…or playing drums for Billy Joel.
Ha ha. It would have been really glamorous if my parents would have settled on the original name they wanted to give me. They wanted to name me after my uncle Pat whose actual Italian name is Pascal, but they thought I might hate them for giving me that name. So I was named after my uncle Roberto instead, but after thinking about it a couple days they decided to just make it Robert.
Roberto would have been cool – you could just use Robert anyway if you wanted.
Ya know what though? Actually now I wish they would have named me Pascal cuz I would have been the only one and I would have been unique. I’ve never known anyone else with that name except my uncle. There’s a lot of Pasquale’s in New York, which I guess is evolved from Pascal but I never knew any other Pascals. I think Pascal is the original Latin name, cuz wasn’t there a famous Pascal in ancient Rome? I think a poet or a politician or something.
There’s a French mathematician, I believe. With a triangle.
Yeah that was the later Renaissance one, and there’s also an ancient one.
What did thr ancient one do?
John Bongiovi and Robert Brocculeri do sound like they belong in the same band.
20/20 with 2:50 left. Much better than the previous quiz, where I bombed!
And it was an album quiz!
One bad guess at the end and I was left with a 19/20 score.
Tough break!
20! 16 with limited effort, the last 4, let’s call them semi-educated guesses. With 2:28 left, so the guessing took a bit too long!
I hope you got CRJ!
I most definitely did!
14/20 and ran out of time. (was [lucky] guessing about 8 in) Not recognizing the album covers didn’t help.
14 is pretty respectable, so good effort.
Thanks, Graham!
I got 10/20 with 2:16 left! The Backstreet Boys were easy for me because I have a soft spot for them.
I don’t exactly have a soft spot for the Backstreet Boys, but they’re a million times better than Boyzone (an Irish boy band from the same era).
Oh I 100% agree! Boyzone aren’t nearly as good as Backstreet Boys.
A lot of dreary covers.
I think One Direction could’ve been close, if their management was better.
