1. So close to a perfect score but because I drew a blank on the Sex Pistols’ drummer I only got 29/30. Next month will be 49 years since my first drum lesson so with drumming in my blood for nearly half a century I’m actually disappointed I couldn’t get all 30. Happy New Year!

2. A crappy 21/30. Queen’s guy was on the tip of my tongue. A couple were guesses. I wouldn’t know Radiohead’s drummer if I fell over him.

   • 21 is pretty solid – it was tougher than I was expecting. I got those two, but missed a bunch of others (obviously…).

3. 22/30 some frustrating brain blanks happening with this one!

   25/30 this one was rough…

   • Yup, I thought it would be a gimme.

5. 10/30 and gave up at 4 minute mark. Am embarrassed as I should know the drummers’ names!

   • I thought it would be easy, but there were some tricky ones.

     • Sorry to say but my focus on rock groups is usually the lead guitarist and the lead singer. Bass and drummers usually take a back seat. Not right, but it is what it is.

       • Rhythm section is more important in some bands than others – REM’s rhythm section were pretty much equal songwriting partners, while other bands have a singer and guitarist as the man creative access.

6. This was very hard! I only got 15/30. Could’ve been worse, but I’m upset about not getting Aerosmith’s drummer correct because he doesn’t have a complicated name. This was still fun, regardless of that. Thanks for the quiz!

   • I forgot the name of Aerosmith’s drummer – it’s basically the names of two 1990s sitcom characters run together.

     • I already forgot his name as I’m typing this lol.

7. Only got 20/30

   • I thought it was tougher than I was expecting.

     • It was, as I have no idea who the drummer is for a lot of bands, many of whom keep a very low profile.

       • I think bass players are even tougher. Often the creative axis of a band is a guitarist/singer combo.

8. 27/30….DMB, Radiohead’s drummers I had no idea and I brain farted on the Pistols drummer. This was fun…one of my better scores here…lol

   • Great work though! I couldn’t remember the name of DMB’s drummer. I don’t really like DMB, but he’s really good.

9. Man, this was awful. I could picture some in my head, but no name come to mind and so many I just didn’t know (Radiohead for one…don’t listen to them). 18/30

   • 18 is pretty solid, it was a tough one.

10. I looked at the list of bands and decided not to even attempt this quiz. I’m pretty sure I know a good portion of them but could I remember their names?

    • I imagine there are a bunch of bands on the list that aren’t really your thing. I’m not huge on Aerosmith or Dave Matthews Band.

      • Yeah, didn’t know either of their drummers.

11. And there will be no encore this week!
    20/30, knew a bunch of the first names (Travis, Rick, Joey…) but couldn’t recall the surnames of the missing 10 alas

    • Great work though. I missed those three as well – I had Rogers stuck in my head for the Def Leppard guy.
