1. I only got 14/20. There was so many I just couldn’t think of the name. Or else I got it just a little bit wrong, like Dave Matthews I thought it was Crush instead of Crash. And for Red Hot Chili Peppers I kept putting Blood Sugar Magic but I left out the Sex, oddly enough. And for John Coltrane I just kept putting names of Miles Davis albums because I never did know who did which.

   • Crush is Bon Jovi from a similar-ish era.

     I always think RHCP is spelt Magik.

     • You’re right. It is spelled with a K. So I would have got it wrong anyway.

2. 13/20 and I gave up. Don’t even know who the artists are with a lot of those!

   • Not a John Denver fan?

     • Haha no. I’m more into prog and Dulux.

       • I’m not sure if I can find any more quizzes about paint and prog…

3. A miserable 12/20 As you know, album covers just aren’t my thing.

   • 12 isn’t too bad.

4. Just 12/20 for me. I knew most of the covers but couldn’t come up with all the names.

   • Good work. There were some pretty obscure/oddball choices (but in a good way).

5. 14/20… this one gave me some trouble.

   • You did pretty well though.

     • That one was a challenge.

6. 16/20, although in fairness I got a couple right by guessing (The Gambler is the only Kenny Rodgers record I know the name of). And I clearly need to bone up on Billy Joel.

   • When I was a young teenager, my parents were pretty conservative with what they’d let me listen to – Genesis were too dangerous. So I was into super mainstream stuff like Billy Joel (and Neil Diamond).

7. 18/20 failed by LL Cool J knowledge and not being able to identify, let alone name, a John Denver album

   • I’m with you on those as well Tony – but in addition to Ladies Love Cool James & John Denver, I also have to brush up on my late 90s Santana releases, 17!

     • I thought you’d know that Santana album – Smooth was pretty ubiquitous for a while.

     • I don’t think I could identify another Santana album cover as easily – that one was just everywhere in ’99 at the time I was hitting record stores almost daily thanks to that bloody ‘Smooth’ song and has become lodged in the memory banks

       • Yeah, Supernatural was everywhere. Good plan getting a mega release in just before Napster hit.

   • I don’t know John Denver albums, but guessed a couple of song titles.

8. 7/20 and knew who the artists were on many more but not album names

   • I think with this quiz they should have allowed album name or artist name.

     • There would have been a lot of 20s!

   • 13/20. Not a winner but based on other comments, not the worst. I don’t know from what recesses of the mind I pulled some of these from. The ones I didn’t get I’d never get. A Love Supreme was a shot in the dark. Do you own a puteketeke?

     • I have never seen a puteketeke. They’re extinct on my island. I do own three chickens.

       Good work. Surprised you haven’t heard A Love Supreme.

       • I *have* heard it. I just wasn’t 100% sure if that was the album cover.
