Over the last year I’ve become a huge fan of Doug Sahm and his different bands…and solo. So sad about Augie Meyers…the guy was great and Sahm’s right hand guy through it all.
I liked the music a lot, but Sahm’s facial hair was A++ on that video.

Just watched the video. Hugh looks like a lecherous toad next to Doug Sahm. What a blast to the past to see Playboy After Dark. Barbie Benton (sp?) I swear that looks like Jesse Jackson in there? And Michael Caine off to the left of Hugh?
