Time marches on, but we’re back for another week of quizzing. Can you fill in these 1980s songs?

I scored 20/20 with 2:56 remaining, but there were a few obscure ones and I needed some educated guessing.
Congratulations to EclecticMusicLover, who finished one second ahead of Tony and two seconds ahead of Rich.
Have you heard Stevie Wonder’s recently released outtakes from Songs In the Key of Life?

I’m no good at these but I love the 80s! Phil Collins, Belinda Carlisle, REM, and especially Susie and the Bangles – and The Tagically Hip’s first two albums that put them on the map for good: the self-titled EP (Killing Time, Smalltown Bringdown) and “Up To Here”.
I remember your favourite song was the Prince song I wanna be your lover???? You got shade when you put Tainted Love on your worst list. I didn’t get it either until someone told me that it’s actually a cover. Keep up the memories!
I had a very good start but stumbled at the end and finished with 18/20.
I played the Songs In The Key Of Life EP yesterday and will give it more listens tomorrow. On first listen there’s nothing that would have made the original album (which is perfect) any better, but it’s always good to hear unreleased songs from his peak era. I hope there will be a super deluxe edition of that album with lots of bonus material and surround sound mixes. I already have the blu-ray with high-res stereo and it’s incredible.
It’s hard to make a perfect album better!
17/20 and I could have gotten 2 more if the clock hadn’t run out.
Good work!
Thanks, Graham!
Alas, only 19/20 this week, as I guessed wrong on a song I’d never heard of by Mary Black.
Great work. That one was easy with my Scottish heritage.
20/20 with 1:12 left on the clock. But there was some guessing since I wasn’t familiar with some of the songs.
Oh wow, I think you’re the only 20 so far.
Frankly, it was a good deal of lucky guessing!
19/20 with 2:30 left. Wasn’t familiar with that Mary Black song
I didnt realize that would trip people – but I have lots of Scottish heritage.
19/20. ‘Dracula’s Tango’… who knew?
From the album I Eat Cannibals & Other Tasty Trax
Score 17/20 Timer 02:51
Good job!
Score
17/20
Some of these I never heard of…I will check the Stevie Wonder out…thanks!
Great work! Sorry that I’m a bit behind on blog reading – on holiday.
No problem…I just caught up after 2-3 weeks!
20/20 with 2:59 on the clock with a real 50/50 guess for the last two
I think you got easily got the fsstest time last week, but commented slightly before I published the next one.
a bit better with the 80s: Score 18/20 Timer 02:47
Good job!
