Pretty amazing live band – Sakamoto’s then-wife Akiko Yano is pretty awesome in her own right, while that guitarist shreds.
I can’t imagine the energy pouring out of them live. Will need to listen to more of their music.
I never heard of them until recently, but they’re basically a supergroup. All three members are also well known solo artists – Sakamoto has done a ton of famous scores for movies too.
I do see that name of the group is YMO (Yellow Magic Orchestra)? Tried searching for 1000 knives and found it that way. Listening on spotify right now…
