I got 46/50 but would have gotten 47 if I didn’t accidentally hit B when I should have hit A. I tripped up on those singles on the cusp of 1985–I chose A for “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Careless Whisper”, as their parent albums were released toward the end of 1984, but those singles didn’t crest until early in 1985.
Great job. I got tricked by those two as well – a bit tricky, because I usually think in terms of albums.

38/50 for me – yeah, 1985 got me a few times too.

44/50 – I was tripped up by a couple of songs that were hits in the US later than in the UK, like Wham. Fun though!
Yeah, I wonder if that affected me too. Could have sworn Careless Whisper was 1984.
21/50 and I’m shocked I did that well. This takes a true audiophile to do well on. I would have trouble even with doing it by decade, let alone first half second half.
More like a musical historian I guess.? Something like the 1970s is probably easier – since disco is a clear dividing line.
