Music Quiz: 5 Letter Words in 1990s Songs

The Fyfes have always been strong spellers, but not as strong as the Robichauds, one of whom dominated last week’s quiz.

This week your challenge is to fill in the blanks in 1990s song titles.

I knew enough of them to puzzle out all 25 with 58 seconds remaining. It’s the reward for having to sing Jon Bon Jovi’s ‘_____ of Glory’ at school and to endure Extreme’s ‘More Than _____’. I got totally sick of Jewel’s ‘You Were ______ For Me’ on the radio, and I went to a wedding where ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A _____’ was an uncomfortable choice for a very tongue-oriented kiss.

Can you beat my time? Do you have any stories around any of these songs?

    • Yeah, I’m often a bit shaky on 1990s hip hop. I’m not very knowledgeable about hip hop anyway, but especially poor on 1990s.

    • I was amazed by all the 25s this week. I guess a few of the contestants are more like my age, so it’s easier for them.

      • Yes I saw that…I felt stupid. I really didn’t know 20…not the songs…I just used common sense with the titles on the ones I didn’t know…it worked a lot.

  1. Story about Gin & Juice: a few years back one of my favorite local bands, Dutch Henry, did their unique cover of the song. I grew to love their cover and have yet to hear the original all of the way through. Just went to youtube to listen and Snoop’s original sounds nothing like their cover.
