Low by Flo Rida (featuring T-Pain)

Topped the NZ chart for 3 weeks from 28 January 2008.
Flo Rida
Tramar Lacel Dillard was born in Miami Gardens, Florida, and grew up with seven sisters. He joined the GroundHoggz, an amateur rap crew, and eventually became the hype man for Fresh Kid Ice.
Low
‘Low’ was Flo Rida’s debut single. It was immediately successful – it’s the most downloaded song of the 2000s, and it topped the Billboard singles chart for 10 weeks.
I love Wikipedia’s matter-of-fact description:
Lyrically, the song describes a sexually desirable girl dancing in a club, and the singer’s efforts to hook up with her, primarily by flaunting displays of cash.

And here’s Blue Oyster Cult’s version:

Yes! Absolute jam this song. I just wrote a scene in an upcoming story that uses this song as a plot device.
Oh cool – I look forward to it.
Every time I think of this song, I think of the movie ‘Zookeeper’ where Kevin James’ character is singing along to the song with his gorilla friend on their way to TGI Fridays.
Never seen that movie, but just watched that scene now – cute!
I know right?!?!?
Wow…I’ve never heard of these remakes…ever.
I do remember that song…not my thing but yea…I agree it sticks with you.
Yeah, feels shallow but that’s a catchy chorus.
