Rich Kamerman scored a decisive win in last week’s hits of the 1970s quiz – he didn’t stop until he got enough, and attained the big shot score of 50/50.
This week’s challenge is a bit easier – you need to name a solo artist from three of their hits. It does cover a lot of eras, but it’s a lot easier when you only need to know one of the songs.

Can this smouldering Neil Diamond photograph inspire you to full marks? Can you beat my time of 1:20.

30/30. 3:31 remaining. Easy-peasy this week. Had to guess a few near the end where it was 50/50. And if you think that picture of Neil Diamond was smoldering, what the heck was going on here?

He’s playing air phallus. Great score.
Heh! I would be embarrassed to do a pose that was anything like that. i guess it worked for whatever he was trying to accomplish.. My wife used to work with a woman who saw his every show. She managed to get called on to come up on stage and practically molested the guy.
It is kind of weird there. He looked hotter later in the decade with short hair, plus he did more straightforward adult contemporary by that point.
Well, I guess “hot” is in the eye of the beholder
28/30 w/ 03:32 left. Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars held me back from a perfect run
They didn’t have Uptown Funk for Mars – I guess it’s not a solo single from him, but it would have been more recognisable. Good score anyway.
Agree – was looking for that one
Wow, I can’t believe I was the only one to 50/50 last week. I’m strutting like a peacock as I type this. Haha. Just got another perfect score but I couldn’t match your time. 30/30 for me with 3:58 remaining.
You’re in the time lead so far. Good thing you didn’t type like a peacock.
Nope. 80%. Whatever that is. I totally bombed out with all the 2000s pop artists.
Sounds like 24/30!
Sounds about right.
It’s probably right because my brother in law represented NZ in the maths olympics.
Hahaha. Maths Olympics does not sound like my type of thing at all.
28/30! Though I think it is perhaps a good thing that I couldn’t name Bruno Mars’s greatest hits…
Good score. I enjoy ‘Uptown Funk’ – it’s Ed Sheeran who I don’t enjoy.
Oh yes, I have always liked that too! Ed Sheeran is so insufferable and obnoxious in his mundanity, and I am ashamed to admit that I immediately guessed him…
He’s difficult to avoid!
Dang it…29/30. I got Celine confused with Whitney. Even if I would have gotten them all right, I would have done it in 1:32, so not as fast as you.
I am everything I am because I want to dance with somebody who loves me. I believe the children are the future and you’re here in my heart and my heart will go on.
Ha!
30/30 with 4:15 on the clock. Love a quick fire round
Ooh, good work.
Though I’d question some of these Top 3s…
30 – and you beat me by 24 seconds!
Maybe I found the Neil Diamond photo more inspirational than you did?
26 of 30 – the big current stars I didn’t get since I don’t listen to radio and am not really into them – Rhianna, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Usher. Thought I was heading for a perfect score but SCREECH, off the road into the ditch of current mega stars!
Headed for the ditch like Neil Young!
A bit late to the party, but joining in for the fun of it – 27.
I hope it was fun! 90% is a very good score.
I’ve missed a fair few, so it was good to have a go. Hopefully I’ll be around a lot more now.
Cool! Good luck for the upcoming quizzes.
Cheers!
