As logic would dictate, we’re now up to the 2000s Grammy winners.

I suspect many of us will find the 21st-century quizzes tougher. I scored 8/10, although I think the 2002 one is tough.
Congratulations to Rich Kamerman, who recorded the fastest time in last week’s challenge.
Have you heard this Nona Hendryx song – it touches on the early 1980s Talking Heads vibe.

6/10…Don’t know my 2000’s Grammy Winners lol….thanks as always
Some weird choices in that decade IMO – sorry you didn’t get one in the 1970s, Steely Dan! You can have Eminem’s one.
Not sure how I got the fastest time last week, but I’ll take the victory. And I’m pretty happy with this week’s performance: 10/10 with 4:27 left on the clock.
Great work – you figured out the 2002 one. Would have helped if I’d recognised the people, cos I know the album.
5/10 “Various Artists”?
Yeah, a bit tough eh, I didn’t recognise the people.
I recognized the Coen brothers and figured it out. O brother, soundtrack.
Seen lots of their movies, but no idea what they look like.
I’ve been a rabid fan since The Big Lebowski.
6/10… The only one I feel dumb about is Santana (who looks very young in that picture!) Who knew Steely Dan were winning Grammys in the 00s?
Yeah, the Steely Dan one was pretty infamous. They said Eminem should have won it, and it seemed like compensation for them not winning in the 1970s.
If you look at that list of winners, it proves the Grammys didn’t have much of a grasp on what was genuinely trending at the time… Outkast stand out like a sore thumb. Eminem would definitely have been a step too far for them in 2001.
Yeah, you’d think you’d want to hit something that’s good, innovative, and popular. And looking through the winners, they’ve done that about 1/4 of the time.
Many of their 1970s choices are pretty strong IMO – hard to argue with Stevie Wonder and Fleetwood Mac. But spotty after that, with the odd hit like Lauryn Hill.
I was going to check out the most recent winners, but don’t want to spoil the next quiz!
Took them ages to switch onto rock music too – Sinatra was winning in the mid-1960s despite being past his most relevant era.
10/10 with 4:31 remaining
Great work – you, Rich, and Tony all have very similar times – looks like Tony beat you by a second.
What a time to be pumped up on coffee: 10/10 with 4:32 remaining. Really enjoyed the Nona Hendryx track too
Looks like you just scraped out the fastest time (so far).
I recognised Hendryx’s name from Talking Heads credits, but I didn’t realise she was:
– in Labelle
– a distant cousin of Jimi Hendrix.
Pretty cool resume – probably deserves more love.
I got a 7/10, which I thought pretty good, but had no idea at all at the last three.
Good work! I figured most people would recognise the guy from 2009, since he was frontman for a famous band.
Score
7/10 ….I got them quickly but could not get the others.
Great work!
