Welcome back for another week of quizzing. I thought we’d take a break from album sorting. Your challenge this week is to name the albums, musical terms, artists, and other ephemera starting with D.

The rock world lost a couple of drummers this week. Jamie Muir, who played wild percussion in my favourite King Crimson era died aged 82. And The Jam’s Rick Bucker passed away at 69. Buckler emailed me years ago, on the original version of this site:

    • I thought those were tough – I missed both, and I was good at theory as a kid. The dotted one was pretty stupid.

    16/20 I got one of the music notes (I never have read music) and that was a surprise. The mf > p I thought I knew…but I most certainly didn’t…I was thinking dynamic. Good one today.

    • I thought that the other music notes question was pretty vague and stupid – I was super good at theory when I was a kid, but didn’t get it.

      But good score.

  2. 13/20. The pop-up ads blocking the quiz are irritating. I guessed “denotes” on the one thing. I should have known Dr. Dre. It’s always sad when the world loses a drummer. They are a particular kind of beast, the heart of any band’s music.
