Music Quiz: Hide Your J Albums

It’s Waitangi Day, our national public holiday, here in New Zealand. It’s particularly fraught this year, as the far right question our nation’s founding document.

Unfortunately, today’s quiz is completely unrelated to such happenings.

Can you identify the albums starting with J? As before I had to make this one myself. There aren’t as many albums beginning with J, so there are fewer questions than usual.

Again, I’m obviously ineligible to enter this week. Congratulations to Tony, who top-scored with 22 last week. I also forgot to congratulate Max, who won with 23 the week before. Can anyone score perfect marks this week.

Here’s a song from an album starting with K that’s not featured in next week’s quiz. It’s a cover of a band that also begins with K.

    • Good job!

In 1840, a Treaty was signed between the British crown and Maori chiefs. Because of the language differences, it’s caused a lot of issues over the years. But it’s our nation’s founding document and should be respected.

It’s also Bob Marley’s birthday – he’s always been pretty big here.

  1. 12/15 for me. Started off pretty good with 10 in a row and then came up empty for the next few. Considering I own 9 of these albums, and have compilations from 3 other artists, I should have done much better. Happy Waitangi Day to you & your loved ones.

    • I’d never heard that Kirsty MacColl song until the day before I posted it. I picked up Electric Landlady years ago from a bargain bin but had never explored further. I think 12 was a popular score last week.

      • I only heard her when I heard her original version of They Don’t Know… and that is what got me into Stiff Records.
