It’s a weird quiz, with some gimmes like 1 and The Blue Album, but also some tricky ones. Even people who know every Beatles song probably don’t recognise some of these, especially if they weren’t around for the LP era.

It’s been a bad week for drummers for another famous 1960s band starting with B. The drummers who played in the Bee Gees’ two most notable eras passed away. Colin Petersen was an official band member during the late 1960s, after going to school with the Gibb brothers. Dennis Bryon played with The Bee Gees between 1973 and 1980, around for their biggest hits during the disco era.

That was tricky because 2 of the American album covers I grew up with were turned into greatest hits pictures like the one with the umbrellas (Beatles 65) and the one where they are in white collar shirts (Beatles VI). I”ve never seen them as greatest hits.
They got pretty obscure – 16 is a lot of compilation. I used to have a cassette copy of Love Songs that I never listened to.
