Welcome back for more quizzing. We’re up to #44, and the artists are getting ever more obscure.

I scored 13/20. It quickly got difficult after Bert and Ernie.
Can you beat me? Congratulations to Deke and Rich Kamerman, who tied on 17/20 last week.
My blogging friend Scott Floman has released a couple of new ebooks, with lists about the 1970s and 1980s. You can buy them for a steal on Amazon – https://www.amazon.com/stores/Scott-Floman/author/B072K363WJ

12/20.. some guessing going on to say the least. But fun!
Yup, I resorted to guessing early too. I hope you got Bert and Ernie though.
Hahaha that one I did !
13/20 – 2:09 left. Way too many guesses….and almost every one was wrong
I was guessing after the first six or seven….
12/20 mostly guessing
Obviously some good guessing.
How do you think I got through college 😉
LOL, but I’m sure you knew some stuff too.
And I’m still at college, roughly 27 years after I started….
Are you a professor? Other college employee? Seems like it would be a good place to be employed.
I am in the web team actually. I’d probably get paid way more if I was a professor.
I wouldn’t count on that, Graham. The adjunct professors get paid peanuts.
That’s a weird American phenomenon I think – they get paid OK here I think.
American industry — including those in the field of education — loves to put the squeeze on workers.
Yeah, I know someone in the US who switched from University teaching to real estate – seems like a waste, but I guess that’s where the money is.
p.s. Graham, I watched a 2023 movie last night about NZ and The Maori, called, “The Convert.” Have you heard of it? Seen it? One I would highly recommend. If you’ve seen it, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. I was drawn in when I saw Guy Pearce was in it.
Weirdly I’ve never heard about it – NZ doesn’t make that many movies, so weird it hasn’t had much publicity. I’ll look out for it.
It’s about the time when British were descending upon the Maori tribes. Very good movie, but I see it from a far-removed in time and space perspective.

12/20…. and that was because of guessing. I knew the B&D because of a friend…
I knew B&D for some reason, even though I don’t think I know any of their songs. They have some distinctive iconography.
My buddy is the only reason I knew…but yes it makes sense.
I don’t know how but I managed 19/20 albeit with only half a minute left on the clock.
You’re well in the lead at the moment.
A horrific 9/20 this week. I’ve never heard of most of those acts.
That’s uncharacteristic – normally you note that you don’t know many of the artists, then score 18 anyway!
I guess my guesses were particularly bad on this one!
11/20 and about 90% of that was guessing.
Yeah, they’re getting pretty obscure (apart from Bert and Ernie).
