Music Quiz: Find the Band Member IV

Congratulations to the contestants who scored 24/24 in last week’s quiz – it looks like jprobichaud from https://mylifeinmusiclists.ca/ was the fastest.

This week we’re continuing with the Find the Band Member quizzes – I’ve been enjoying the broad range of artists featured.

There was a bit more music nerd fodder this week, like X and The Jam, which helped me to reach 24/24 with 2:30 remaining.

I’m sure you’re all anxious to see my vacation photos – here’s one I took from Sunrise Hut at dawn.

    • That fastest time didn’t last long – Jim pipped you two minutes later, although it seems likely it will get bettered again.

  1. 24/24 and (sorry Rich) 3:36 left. I did NOT expect to do well. But all the bands’ pictures were the famous people. And then I just narrowed it down.

    Where’s the picture from?

    • The picture is taken from Sunrise Hut in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand at dawn. It’s supposed to take 2-3 hours to walk up to the hut but we took longer with our 7-year-old.

      • I know so little about that part of the world I would not know any of that. Not likely I’ll ever get there either as my wife does not like to fly. Six hours to California kills here. 24 hours (or whatever) to fly Down Under would kill her .

  2. The Jam – “nerd fodder” – Heaven help us ! The first and only time I hope ever to hear The Jam/Paul Weller and the word “nerd” used in the same context!

Oh, I got 23/24 due to a bit of inspired guesswork with the more contemporary (or dare I say nerdy) ones 🙂

  3. May I all a brief respectful period of thought for the great, great Ronnie Spector, who passed away yesterday, aged 78. One of THE great female voices.

“She was filled with love and gratitude. Her joyful sound, playful nature and magical presence will live on in all who knew, heard or saw her.” So say her family and that is how I always perceived her. She will be missed.

  4. SCORE Score
    24/24
    TIMER Timer
02:41 4 educated guesses…but it turned out great!

    Awesome picture Graham.

  5. 23/24. That was the easiest one so far. But then I got down to the end and only had one left to go. But somehow I got it wrong. How could you get it wrong if there’s only one left?? I was up to 23 then something must have went wrong. That really burns my ass cuz I wanted to have a perfect score. The only one that I didn’t know is Lake Street or something like that. And I wasn’t quite sure about Arcade Fire but I guessed right.

  6. 24/24 with 2:29 left! Psyched with the perfect show although seems alot of follks got it this week. Combo of knowing, educated guessing and some luck.
That’s an awesome pic – at first I wasn’t sure if the white was clouds or surf, I’m assuming the former, which makes it even more amazing.
Reminds me of my honeymoon where we drove up to the summit of the Haleakala crater in Maui in Hawaii in middle of night for the sunrise and then biked down. Besides the awesome sunrise, my other memory was that the van driver who drove us up was a dead ringer for the Skipper from GIlligans Island. 🙂

    • Thanks for playing anyway! I’ve been working through them backwards and I think they’re getting easier.
