Music Quiz: Famous Albums Badly Drawn

For most of the week, it looked like ‘Advance Australia Fair’ was going to ring around the medal ceremony. A late entry from Rich Kamerman turned out to be the fastest time, just pipping Bruce. Congratulations to everyone who participated.

This week, there are more badly drawn albums.

It’s a little more into low-selling critics’ favourites territory than usual and there’s a bit more 21st-century stuff than usual. I scored 24/25. I played it a few months back and can’t remember which one I got wrong – although I imagine that I forgot the name of the Muse album.

A new Mitski song arrived yesterday – I think it’s excellent:

    • It was a lot further into music geek territory this week – stuff like Neutral Milk Hotel and Madvillainy.

    • It was a bit less mainstream than usual – 20 might give you a shot of winning, I’m not sure how it’ll shake out.

  1. 24/25 – try as I might I couldn’t get the one with the dude with the helmet on. Some of those titles – like the Public Enemy one – were a job to type fast. Enjoyed that one a lot

  2. I gave up at 4:28 left, with 17/25. About 5 more I knew the band but could not name the album (what do I know of Coldplay? etc) and a couple I just blanked on. I’m glad they padded the time for us slower typers.

  3. 12 of 25 Like others, some I couldn’t pull the album cover, others never heard of the band. Listening to the Mitski and liking what i’m hearing.
