I scored 13/20 – I made it to 10, then engaged in a string of guesses which were mostly unsuccessful. I was lucky that I had an argument with my 6 year old daughter yesterday about the lyrics of ‘Dynamite’. I wouldn’t have known who sang it otherwise (and I was wrong about the lyrics – I always thought they said “Galileo”….).

Wow, that was an exercise in futility. Although I finished with 4/20 I really only knew one (thank you, Pharrel Williams) and then just randomly clicked. I listened to plenty of new music throughout the 2010s but none of it came close to the pop charts.
You’re winning so far! There’s not a whole lot of crossover with stuff I’m into either.

12/20 and I have no issue with that. Having googled I’m not sure I’d want to know a Post Malone song and it was pure luck that what turned out to be the One Republic song was playing on the office sound system as I played

Yeesh. I was ready to tear this quiz a new hole and then I got dose of reality. 4/20.
It’s interesting that you did pretty well in the 2000s one.
I know! I was in high school and college in the ’00s so I think that helped. I started getting pickier and gravitated more toward the indie stuff for a while after that, but I was completely surprised at how much I didn’t recognize at all here.
I think at least a couple of my guesses were due to having small-ish children who gravitate to pop music.
Yeah, I have two very young girls right now. I’m looking forward to being an expert on 2030s pop music.

After doing the quiz, I learned it was Ed Sheeran – I had no idea, as I’m not really a fan.
