The average Sporcle score is 61%, but I didn’t think it was too bad – I scored 20/20.

17/20, sinking further into the depths of despair. “She don’t use jelly?”
I love that song! It has pretty, jangly bits and loud guitar bits.
I’ll take your word for it. I’ve just never heard of it.
Neither had the guy from Beverly Hills 90210. “You know, I’ve never been a big fan of alternative music, but these guys rocked the house!”
I don’t know that one either. Well, I’m aware of the show, but… Anyway, bottom line is I am not winning the golden Aphoristical award any time soon.
Golden Aphoristical Award is a great name, maybe Aluminium Aphoristical Award for alliteration?
You’re in charge!
I was halfway through when my computer froze, so after a long reboot process I re-started and got an easy 20/20. Only one of them, a young female country star, took a few seconds of scratching my head before the name came to me. I like the diversity on display this week.
Good work. It’ll be interesting to see how the scores line up this week. I found the country one tricky too.
18/20 for me. Couple of tough ones on there.
Good work!
18/20… That was a strong mixture…
Yup, it was pretty eclectic. I think it’s pretty amazing that all of us can guess upwards of 90% on a series of 300 artists.
20/20 – the two difficult ones were Checker and Milli Vanilli (two artists that are stuck in their own time) but I eventually got there.
Yup, both kind of one-hit wonders.
19/20 – I had no recollection of the one artist. A couple of song names were tunes from the Muppet Christmas Carol so I guessed Muppets!
I don’t think I’ve seen the muppets in a sporcle quiz.
not yet, at least!
19/20 for me. Almost always that one I just can’t place.
Ooh, I’m ahead of you now.
No!!!!!! 🙂
20/20 – I struggled with the spelling on one of them so long I thought I was going mad
I always think it’s OK to google the spelling in another tab. Christina?
Yeah – I tried really hard to read it off the image too, drove me a bit dolally
16/20
Good effort!
17 of 20, and again, while I heard of them all dont think I would have gotten them – country is not my forte (except a long time ago and neither is female pop. i fear i will fall behind with this crew
Carrie Underwood is basically the intersection of country and pop on a Venn diagram, right?
Right!! So really disadvantaged on that one!
