Congratulations to Chris, Geoff, Murphy’s Law, and Tony, who all scored 22/22 in last week’s quiz, with Tony logging the fastest time.
This week’s quiz requires you to identify bands from sensational headlines revolving around well known songs.

I scored 15/15 with 4:03 remaining, but I think there are a couple of tough ones in there.

12/15. Never heard of that Seattle band. Could have stared at the rest all day and not gotten.
You’ve probably heard of all the individual members – Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder…
I thought that was Vedder. Don’t know that band
I recognize the image at the top of your post from a Vietnam war documentary, didn’t know was used as an album sleeve.12/15

Great effort – I think there are a couple of tough ones in there – expecting lots of 12-13s, but not many 15s.
15 with 3:27 to go!
Great effort – fastest recorded time so far.
I got 14/15 almost immediately but, not being a grunge fan, I was stumped on the last one. Once I saw who it was I remembered the name but I could have stared at that photo for hours & not gotten it right.
That was definitely the toughest one – lots of really famous bands, and one relatively obscure one.
13/15. Got caught on 2 of the last 3.
But a strong effort nevertheless.
Did not get the Seattle, Irish and one other which 10 seconds after closing the tab I’ve forgotten.
Yeah, there were a couple of tough ones in there.
13/15… I can’t believe I missed the Cranberries…
Rage Against the Machine I missed also…could have sworn that was Eddie Vedder.
It was Vedder, just in a different context…
Ok gotcha…
14 of 15. Didn’t know temple of Dog. Have heard of them but not enough to get it. Almost flubbed cranberries
I’d retained the piece of knowledge that they had a song named ‘Hunger Strike’ – only reason I got them.
15 out of 15…although one was forever and I almost ran out of time (IRA one).
Great effort – sounds like you got the tough one that’s been tripping people up.
It took almost to the last second. I kept singing it in my head and couldn’t think of it but at the same time I knew it. Then it clicked that I did the song for an original vs cover post.
15 /15, though I stared at the IRA one for ages
So not fast enough for the fastest time this week?
Probably not, I can’t recall what my time was – was more relieved when the rusty clogs finally clicked together for a Eureka moment
15/15 3.39 – The IRA one was the only one that gave me a problem.
Perfect score!
15/15. 2:46 remaining. Few tricky ones, but I got there in the end.
Great effort – 100%!
